LINDSAY STURGEON, LMFT

About Lindsay
I am a licensed therapist in Colorado (MFT.00001332) and California (MFC 47172). I am married and have two children. I received my Masters degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. I received my Bachelors from Pepperdine University in Organizational Psychology.

I am trained in EMDR and mostly operate from a psychodynamic standpoint while also incorporating CBT tools in my work with clients. I have been in private practice since 2009.

When I am not in the office I love to travel, be with friends and family and be anywhere near water.
My approach is warm, relational and solution-oriented. I utilize a variety of modalities in order to help individuals, couples and families reach the personal growth and healing they are working towards.

I operate out of the lens of curiosity and compassion. I find that lasting change happens as we can see ourselves and our story through compassion and curiosity vs. shame and critique.
I believe that the connection and trust established between client and therapist is an essential and a key part of what helps therapy be successful.

All people are welcome, respected and valued in my practice, including people who identify as LGBTQ+, people of color, and people with varying faith or non-faith backgrounds.
